ENDORSEMENTS

STC has gained approval across the Education sector in New Zealand in a very short space in time. This is simply due to the fact that the associations agree with what STC is doing as many schools across NZ have been adversely affected due to COVID-19 and the refund debacle that have been caused when schools have not followed the MOE guidelines and chosen to work with companies that are not TAANZ financially bonded.

Below are a few statements of endorsement that we have received in support of STC.

“I am heartened to hear that schools and their communities are once again thinking about school trips. Travel, both domestic and international, is a wonderful learning experience and an exciting opportunity for kiwis.

I understand schools’ planning is extensive, as it should be when safeguarding the safety and learning of young kiwis and the financial contributions of their whanau. The Ministry of Education best practice advice states schools to check whether the travel agent is bonded.

It’s always interesting to hear about new ideas, such as the School Travel Collective. I will follow the collective’s progress with interest.”

Hon Stuart Nash
Minister of Tourism

“The Travel Agents Association of New Zealand (TAANZ) is pleased to support the School Travel Collective.  Being a TAANZ member requires amongst many things the requirements to adhere to the highest ethical and financial standards.  As a TAANZ member each company must have separated client funds.  This means client funds are held in a separate bank account and the income only transferred after a supplier has been paid thus protecting the client funds at all times.  In addition, all TAANZ members must provide a financial guarantee in support of the way they trade.

“Education Outdoors NZ is pleased to support the School Travel Collective as they continue to provide schools with high quality travel experiences that ensure Health & Safety and Financial Security”

Fiona McDonald - CEO
EONZ - Education Outdoors New Zealand

The Condor Rugby Football Club Inc. is affectionately known as the Condor Sevens, is pleased to endorse the School Travel Collective. To have the financial protection of funds will give schools the confidence to pursue ‘educational experiences’ outside of the traditional classroom learning environment including but not limited to, sports fields, courts, turfs, and other facilities.
